The martial art of Jujutsu is not a game. It is not a sport. It is the martial art of preservation. Just the term should be enough to inform you of it’s meaning. I find it most disconcerting to hear people profess to teach a martial art when, in fact they have no concept of the true meaning. There are many schools that give the public the impression they are learning a ‘martial art’ when in fact they are receiving information that can potentially get them or their family and friends hurt or worse. Yes, a martial artist should avoid a conflict whenever possible, however, when it is not possible you must have the means to defend yourself and those around you.
MIZU SHIN TAO
Mizu Shin Tao is a school of jujutsu that emphasizes the teaching of the principles of Dan Zan Ryu Jujutsu in an atmosphere of reality. The difference is most instructors of this style believe the basics of the style ‘are’ the style. Nothing could be farther from the truth. At Mizu Shin Tao we train in the traditional manner and emphasize the principles of the basics as well as the advanced stages of training. We also emphasize the other half of the ‘Martial Arts’; The healing side. Check out our ‘SEIFUKUJUTSU’ page.
